Nestled between the Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the waterside town of Port Angeles on the Olympic Peninsula presents a wide variety of opportunities for sightseeing and outdoor adventures.
Many of our guests use Olympic Lodge as a base location for a series of day trips to explore the surrounding Pacific Northwest area attractions.
Bring your passport and travel documents to take the local ferry across 17 miles of open water into Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Once there, see the world-famous Butchart Gardens, learn about Canadian history at The Royal B.C. Museum, step inside the Craigdarroch Castle, and take a horse-drawn carriage into the downtown area to peruse the many intriguing shops found there.
Seek out adventure in the breathtaking Olympic National Park and admire the world below from the 5,200-foot Hurricane Ridge, often referred to as the “jewel” of the park. Make a splash at Lake Crescent, a 12-mile, glacier-carved lake that offers excellent swimming, boating and fishing. Hike through one of the rainforest areas via several trails designed to give everyone – from children to adults – an unforgettable experience! We are also conveniently located adjacent to the only golf course in Port Angeles.
